Several golf courses
from 9 to 18-holes are located within the region. Windam Hill, an 18-hole course
on route 11, midway between

The town of Chester boasts 2
tennis courts, a public inground swimming pool and skateboard park. All are located
about a 1/2 mile from the Village Green on Lovers Lane

Springfield,

border at Charleston. Many visitors enjoy the secluded Lowell Lake
a mile from the entrance to Magic Mountain.

snowboarding and snowtubing! Magic Mountain is one of the oldest ski resorts in the
area and in years past was one of the top rated mountains. In recent years,
ownership changes have hampered the mountains ability to compete with larger mountains,
such as Okemo. Nonetheless, through volunteers and paid staff, Magic Mountain
continues to offer the ski enthusiast some of the most challenging slopes. With
another good season of snow, guests will want to check out this option - with greatly
reduced ticket prices!
